Kenkäheinä
Kenkäheinä on pieni saari Ivalojoella Koppelon kylässä.
Saaressa on saunallinen mökki, jossa on nukkumapaikat kuudelle.
Mökissä on kamina ja polttopuut kuuluvat vuokraan. Rannassa on nuotiopaikka.
Mökillä on suuri pakastin, jonka täytämme jäillä ja joka toimii kesällä jääkaappina. Lisäksi mökissä on suuri akku jolla voi mm. katsoa TV:tä tai ladata puhelimen.
Sijainti: Autolla pääsee Koppelontien päähän, jonne 12 km Ivalosta. Tienpäässä on myös veneenlaskupaikka.
Tienpäästä n. 500 metriä saareen veneellä.
Vuokraan kuuluu pieni soutuvene tai kanootti ja pelastusliivit.
Veneenvuokraus: Vuokraamme veneitä, esim. Terhi-vene ja 4 hv moottori 50 € / vrk.

"Kenkäheinä" is a small island in Ivalo River. In the island there is a wooden cottage for 6 persons.
Living room/kitchen with dining table and chairs and convertible sofa. Bedroom with 4 beds.
The kitchen has gas stove and is fully equipped. Mattresses, blankets, pillows, candles for lighting, outdoor toilet.
Heated by a wood burning oven. No electricity in cottage, but it is possible to charge your mobilephone there. Access to wood-fired sauna through porch. Nice small terrace.
Cottage has a open fireplace just a step from the river.Fire wood is included in the price. There is a place where you can hold you food supplies in cold.
Location: The island is situated approximitely 12 km from the village of Ivalo. You will drive trough a little village called "Koppelo" until the end of the road.
There wil be a boat or canoe waiting for you. It's about 500 meters to the island over the river.
It is very easy to find it, and you will get good instructions.
In the wintertime it's easy to walk or ski over the river. We can also rent a boat with engine / snowmobiles.
Boat ( without engine ) or a canoe and life vests are included in the price. You can also start with a canoe from our camping site. It is about 17 km to the island from the camping site, a nice day trip.
The keys to the cottage and instructions are to be picked from the reception of the Ivalo River Camping .
